DESCRIPTION:Centering Our Rivers\nJoin HCA and the H. E. Butt Foundation in Leakey on November 18 for our final installment in the traveling Rural Roundup series!\nClick to view full-size flyer as PDF \nThis event is all about Hill Country rivers and how we connect to them as communities and as individuals. What roles do our rivers play as sites for education\, for economic development\, and for fostering community identity? How do they function ecologically and as vital infrastructure for our communities? What do they mean to us and our neighbors\, as touchstones revisited throughout our lives? And what do they need from us to stay healthy? \nWe will convene at 10am for a welcome alongside Leakey Springs\, before heading to the banquet hall for a talk by Julie Lewey of Ranches and Rivers LLC\, and a panel discussion with regional experts whose work connects to our Hill Country rivers. We will break for lunch and time to connect with one another and a variety of organizations involved in Hill Country river stewardship.
