DESCRIPTION:For Hill Country Night Sky Month\, we are encouraging you to become citizen scientists by using your naked eye to measure sky brightness caused by light pollution for the monthly Globe at Night Citizen Science Campaign! \nOur goal is to get 100 measurements! \nFor this campaign\, you have two\, 10 -day windows from September 24th-October 3rd and October 24th-November 2nd when the moon will not interfere with measurements. Go outside at night an hour and a half after sunset and use the Globe at Night webapp to find constellations to help you measure the sky brightness in your area.

DESCRIPTION:What’s happening when the sun goes down? Let’s talk nocturnal critters\, night skies\, and migrating birds. Feel free to dress as your favorite nocturnal animal. Featuring a Bulb Exchange. Bring your current bulb to an outdoor light fixture and we’ll exchange it with a Night Sky Friendly bulb. Be sure to attend the premiere showing of “Lights Out Texas” documentary with an introduction by Kevin Pillow. This will show at 6:30pm.
