What does FEMA really require?  This event is open to all residents — homeowners\, renters\, and business owners — who want clear answers about floodplain rules\, insurance\, and safe rebuilding.  Offered by the Kerr County Water Alliance in collaboration with Certified Floodplain Managers from the Texas Floodplain Management Association. \nTuesday\, September 30\n3:30 – 6:00 pm\nGuadalupe Basin Natural Resources Center\n125 Lehman Drive\, Kerrville \nWhat’s on the agenda? \n\nOpening remarks by Charlie Hastings\, PE\, CFM\nFloodplain 101 basics — why the National Flood Insurance Program exists and how it protects us\nHistory of Texas floods — lessons learned and why higher standards mean more resilient homes and communities\nPop-Up Flood Smart Permit Clinic (Lobby) — Certified Floodplain Managers will:\n\nPrint your property’s FEMA map\nHighlight your base flood elevation\nWalk you through elevation/no-rise rules\nSend you home with a map + a “Floodplain 101” handout\n\n\n\nThe clinic will be open before\, during\, and after the main session\, so drop in anytime. \nWhy come?
