SUMMARY:Webinar - Ensuring One Water Works for All: Opportunities for Realizing Water Reuse in Affordable Housing
DESCRIPTION:Join AWE and the Water and Planning Network for an informative webinar on the new report published by the National Wildlife Federation on Ensuring One Water Works for All: Opportunities for Realizing Water Reuse in Affordable Housing. This report concludes that strategic integration of onsite water reuse can provide lasting financial and quality-of-life benefits to affordable housing residents and owners\, and that inclusion of onsite reuse can also help spread a degree of climate resilience to urban populations that are often passed-over in commercial water reuse and green infrastructure initiatives. \nThe report acknowledges and describes the dual challenge of providing affordable housing and resilient water supply. It outlines the benefits of onsite reuse\, the barriers and opportunities for expanding (onsite non–potable) water reuse\, and includes specific recommendations for cities\, utilities\, and developers\, as well as a wealth of case studies of existing affordable housing projects that have successfully integrated onsite water reuse. \nInclusion of onsite reuse into affordable housing developments represents an ideal opportunity to put One Water’s equity principles into immediate\, productive practice. \nClick here to learn more and register!

SUMMARY:Fredericksburg and online - Restoring Functional Ecosystems with Regenerative Agriculture
DESCRIPTION:This introduction to the website of ROAM Ranch is descriptive of the confidence that Taylor and Katie Collins have in their vision of building and operating a multi-species regenerative ecosystem in which soil building practices are integrated into every aspect of land management.\n\nIn nature’s image\, biodiversity is a key aspect of the ranch. Taylor raises bison\, ducks\, chickens\, turkeys\, geese\, pigs\, and intentionally creates habitat for both native and migratory species to co-create on this landscape.\n\nWithin 5 years of management the ranch has seen dramatic improvements in soil carbon\, water infiltration\, plant diversity\, and soil health. As a living demonstration to the potential of regenerative land management\, the ranch annually hosts thousands of guests from all over the country . Standing in the midst of a dramatic demonstration\, Taylor spreads his hands to a positive method of building the land.\n\nWhen not wrangling bison\, Taylor enjoys spending time outdoors with his family\, trail running\, cycling\, – and  planting trees.\nZoom link here
