DESCRIPTION:“The Twinkliest Town in Texas”\n\n\nCelebrate Lights Spectacular’s 31st Season \nHoliday lights will continue to glow in Johnson City – with a socially distanced tour of “The Twinkliest Town in Texas” -boasting over two million twinkling lights in our historic square off Main Street. \n\nFace Coverings and Social Distancing Required. \nBlanco County and Johnson City request that all guests are respectful of Covid-19 protocols both locally and by the State of Texas.  Gatherings of over 10 people will not be permitted. \nUnfortunately this year we are unable to host our annual Lighted Hooves & Wheels Parade and Opening Weekend festivities\, including fireworks.  \nSanta won’t be joining us this year.  He’s in quarantine at the North Pole.  But don’t worry\, the elves are immune to Covid-19 so they will be delivering your presents. \nLearn more here

DESCRIPTION:The Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District (the District) invites you to participate in the second virtual stakeholder working group session planned as part of the Strategic Water Vision 2021 effort\, scheduled for December 2\, 2020. \nThe District held the first round of stakeholder working group sessions in November. If you were unable to attend those meetings\, a copy of the presented technical information\, stakeholder survey results\, and notes from the first round of meetings are available for review on the Hays Trinity Groundwater Conservation District website:  haysgroundwater.com\, and select “Strategic Water Vision 2021” on the left side. \nObjective for Round 2 of Stakeholder Working Group:\nThe purpose of the second stakeholder working group session will be to summarize key takeaways from the stakeholder engagement process thus far\, discuss ongoing efforts of the District\, review District funding mechanisms\, and discuss plans for the District moving forward. Meet the giant vinegaroon\, marbled crayfish and other new animals in the BioLab\, and find special pop-up experiences like the Sleigh Racer Challenge and our foot-controlled video game. DESCRIPTION:Join us online for our favorite holiday tradition! \nJoin us on Facebook and Instagram for this special Tree Lighting ceremony that has been a local tradition since President and Mrs. Johnson started it 51 years ago. While no in-person activities will be held this year\, you can still visit park headquarters and the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm to see the beautiful decorations that will be up the week before Christmas. Visit the gift shop for unique holiday items that will complete anyone’s last minute shopping needs. Park buildings will be open regular hours (gift shop 8:30am-4pm and Sauer-Beckmann farm 10am-4pm). \nPlease remember that masks are required inside state park buildings and encouraged outside.
