Where do bats live? What do they eat and why are they important to the environment?

Nyta Brown has been the superintendent of Old Tunnel State Park between Comfort and Fredericksburg since 2005. Nyta has her Master’s Degree in Applied Geography specializing in Environmental Education from Texas State University.
Nyta spends much of her time educating both children and adults on the importance of bats to our biodiversity. In addition to these presentations, she also conducts surveys and studies on bats throughout Texas.
