The goal of the symposium is to advance our collective understanding of the science of Ashe juniper and facilitate applications of this understanding into management and conservation of sustainable, resilient and ecologically-appropriate ecosystems.
The symposium will bring together scientists, land stewards, conservation practitioners, private landowners and others, and will provide an opportunity to hear about and discuss historical perspectives, recent research, and current initiatives pertaining to Ashe juniper ecology and ecosystem management, the social science of land stewardship, as well as land management programs and projects in central Texas.
The symposium is hosted by Biodiversity Works and will be at the Commons Conference Center in Austin.
