Join us as we learn from landowners, Vick and Dorothy Williams, and Restoration Ecologist, Mollie Walton, about a variety of methods for slowing and sinking water along hillsides to reduce erosion, build soil, mitigate floods, enhance groundwater replenishment, and improve habitat.
During this hands-on field day, participants will discuss effective structures that rely on rock, Ashe juniper (cedar) wood, and the contours of the land to build soil. Snacks, water, and printed materials will be provided. Cost is $10, RSVP’s requested, and space is limited
