Click to view Healthy Creeks Initiative Flyer - happening 4/13/2022Join us online on Wednesday, April 13th from 12:00 – 1:00 pm for a free, lunchtime information session highlighting the Healthy Creeks Initiative.

Learn about the importance of riparian systems, concerns around infestations of non-native Arundo (aka Giant Reed, River Cane), and voluntary steps that hundreds of private landowners are taking to control Arundo in order to enhance the health and diversity of Hill Country creeks and rivers.

The Healthy Creeks Initiative is a cooperative project between Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, Hill Country Alliance, and other key partners to implement large-scale management of Arundo on Hill Country rivers and streams at no cost to property owners. Landowner participation is essential to maximizing the success of this project.
