Leah Cuddeback

Leadership Program Manager

Leah has spent over a decade working in science and environmental education for various nonprofits such as The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, El Ranchito at Shield Ranch, and the Saint Louis Zoo. At the Hill Country Alliance, Leah has worn many hats since joining the team in 2018 – managing HCA’s outreach efforts as Storytelling and Public Engagement Manager, and helping to grow HCA’s Leadership Institute before moving into her current role as Leadership Program Manager in the summer of 2025.

In this role, Leah organizes HCA’s annual Leadership Summit and oversees the Hill Country Leadership Institute, a ten-month program aimed at connecting regional leaders with a focus on local planning and natural resource management challenges and solutions. In her free time, she enjoys weekend getaways and volunteering on the Wimberley Parks Board. She loves getting out into the Hill Country and is most passionate about inspiring others to protect the natural resources and scenic beauty that draw so many to Texas. Leah grew up visiting grandparents in Wimberley, which led her to pursue a B.S. in Wildlife Biology at Texas State University.
