Why Dark Skies Matter for Military Readiness at Camp Bullis | Texas Monthly
Dark skies play an important role in military readiness, a connection highlighted in a Texas Monthly story about Camp Bullis. Dark sky conservation is often discussed in terms of wildlife, plants, human health, safety, and security. But maintaining sky quality around military installations is also essential to training personnel for scenarios that take place day and night. Hill Country Alliance is proud to collaborate with Joint Base San Antonio and the Camp Bullis Sentinel Landscape to help protect dark skies while supporting military readiness. We’re grateful to Texas Monthly for bringing attention to this important connection.
