Ready, Set, Host!

Ready to host an event? We’re here to help! Follow the steps below for a streamlined planning experience. After you decide what type of event you want to host, register it with us and we will add it to the Event Calendar.

Step 1: Imagine your event

What kind of event do you want to have? From river cleanups to riparian plantings to community education events, water touches every aspect of our communities. When planning an event, it is important to keep in mind audience, partners and promotions when brainstorming activities and events. Know who you want to reach, who can help, who you would like to be involved and how you can get the word out.

Need help creating a flyer or getting started with graphic design? Contact leah@hillcountryalliance.org and we will send you a link to additional Spring Water Revival Graphic Resources!

Step 2: Register your event

Once your event has been created, click here to submit your event to the Hill Country Event Calendar. When submitting an event, please include the location of your event in the title as well as a good point of contact in your organization, since events will be hosted across the region. After submission, please allow 1-2 business days until events are approved.

Step 3: Spread the word

Communication works best when it happens on multiple levels! Once you’ve got your event planned and your graphics designed, we recommend the following steps for success:

  • Email your friends, partners, and local news stations about the event.
  • Write a press release for your event and share it with your local newspaper.
  • Use colorful graphics and vibrant images to get the word out on social media.
  • Follow #SpringWaterRevival on Twitter and Instagram!
